Gas geyser
Gas line, flue, water connection and pressure test, for hot water that keeps running when the grid does not. Two cylinders on an auto-changeover means nobody gets caught mid-shower.
Gas geyser installationHobs, geysers, fireplaces, braais, heaters and cylinder banks, built to SANS 10087 by a SAQCC registered installer working out of Woodstock. The line is pressure tested and the Certificate of Compliance is issued on the same visit.
Hobs, stoves, geysers, braais, heaters and fireplaces, connected to a correctly sized cylinder and certified to SANS 10087.
Most gas work in a Cape Town home fails on the same few things: a line run too far on too small a cylinder, a socket sitting where the hob was meant to go, or a cylinder shut in a cupboard with no ventilation. We assess the property first, size the cylinder to what the appliance actually draws, run and pressure test the line, and sign the Certificate of Compliance on the same visit.
Red Flame Gas Supplier is a SAQCC registered installer based at 170 Victoria Road, Woodstock, working across the City Bowl, Atlantic Seaboard, Southern Suburbs and the N1 corridor into the northern suburbs. Every job, from a single hob connection in Oranjezicht to a cylinder bank behind a Woodstock restaurant, is built to SANS 10087 and pressure tested before the Certificate of Compliance is signed.

Gas geyser installation
Ventilated, lockable outdoor cages sized for restaurants, guesthouses and multi-appliance homes, so refills happen outside without anyone entering the property.
Any appliance that runs continuously, not just a hob, needs a bigger cylinder than the 9kg most Cape Town homes start with. We size the bank on the site visit, and two cylinders are recommended on a geyser installation so hot water never runs out mid-shower. Red Flame supplies and refills 19kg and 48kg cylinders from the same Woodstock shop that does the install, so the refill run is already set up before the installer leaves.
A gas COC is a legal requirement under SANS 10087 for every new LPG installation in South Africa, and it is compulsory on a property sale. Only an installer registered with SAQCC Gas may issue one. We sign it on the same visit once the installation passes, so you are not waiting on a second appointment for the paperwork. Need a COC on an existing installation instead of a new one? See our dedicated COC page.
WhatsApp the appliance, the brand and your suburb. We quote off that, and confirm a time window.
Line run, regulator and isolation valve fitted, clearances checked, cylinder or bank positioned and secured.
The line is put under pressure and every joint and connection checked before anything is signed.
Once it passes, the Certificate of Compliance is issued on the spot. One visit, no second appointment.
Every installation is priced after an on-site assessment, because pipe runs, cylinder position and access differ on every property. What we can tell you up front is exactly what falls on each side of the job, and we confirm the full number before any work starts.
The geyser, hob, stove or heater comes from your own supplier, at whatever price you can get it for. We do not mark it up and we do not push a brand. If you have already bought it, that is the normal case.
Gas line, regulator, isolation valve, clearances, cylinders and the cage, then the pressure test and the COC. We quote that after seeing the site, because it is the part that actually varies.
Where the cylinder sits decides what the installation can ever run. We assess the kitchen or appliance on site and recommend the setup that matches how the property is actually used, not the cheapest option on paper.
Suits a single hob in a small kitchen and keeps the installation compact. It caps you at one small bottle, and no plug points are allowed in the same partition.
What a geyser, fireplace, heater or multi-appliance kitchen needs. It refills without anyone entering the house, and scales to two cylinders on an auto-changeover so you are never caught with an empty bottle mid-job.
SANS 10087 requires at least 200mm of clearance between any plug point or light switch and a gas burner or release point, and no plug points at all in the same partition as an internal cylinder. This trips up a lot of DIY kitchen renovations. An electrician places a socket exactly where the hob was meant to go, and the installation fails compliance before it starts.
Cheaper to check before the cabinetry and the tiling go in than after. Send us the plan and we will tell you whether the gas point, the cylinder and the sockets can live where they are drawn.
You buy the appliance from your own supplier and we connect and certify any brand. On the water heating side, these are the three we fit most often in Cape Town homes.
Our own work, not stock photos. Every one of these was pressure tested and signed off before we left the property.
